There are lunch-vouchers available for the children!
MiniRACER-Courses start every Monday at 9:45 am. Meeting place is in front of the ski school hut on the Sammelplatz HOCHKRIMML. These total beginners (have not even been on skies yet) do not need a ski pass. All facilities in the SKIING SCHOOL AREA, like the lift, the carousel, etc. are FREE. Note: Do not forget sunglasses, sunscreen and lip protection. Supervision during lunch can be provided as well!!!
The first couple of days, Maxi and ProRACER will train on the easier hill in order to learn a good basic move, the traverse! This basic move is crucial for later moves like the dynamic parallel turn or carving.
During the training on the practise hill we DO NOT WANT TO HEAR “…we did that last year…”, as you should always work on good basic moves, even if you are a professional skier.
The big pay off at the end of the ski course week is the race on Thursday and Friday. EVERYONE gets a certificate and a medal. With us EVERYONE IS A WINNER!
HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR CHILDS ABILITY
MiniRACER (blue flag):
Are at least four years old and total beginners – never been on skies before! The always start their adventure on Mondays at 9:45am in a separate training area with a free ski lift, carousel and a magic carpet. The Indian Tent, the Trapper’s hut and the kids ski house provide some nice change. Starts only on Mondays!
MaxiRACER (from blue to red flag):
Know how to do the snowplough turn and are able to go up on the practise lift alone. They should also have a basic knowledge of general performance. We will do a short slalom to determine the groups. Starts also every Monday at 9:45 am. Can be joined every day.
ProRACER (red and black Flag):
Begins at medium level skills- from snowplow turns, to basic parallel turns, up to dynamic wedeling and carving. There will also be a short slalom to determine the proper groups on Monday at 9:45 am. The appropriate groups can be joined every day.
